Caddo Lake WMA at the Canoe/Kayak Launch at Fr Camp Road, Jefferson, Texas.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has provided a modern access point for launching non-motorized watercraft on the north side of the Carter Lake section of Caddo Lake. Several canoe / kayak paddle trails can be reached from this point, and it is truly one of the loveliest parts of the entire Caddo Lake area. For boaters, this is a much better launching spoit than Caddo Lake State Park, since it is in a quiet backwater area vs. just off the busy main channel. Since this facility is recent, it doesn't show up on a lot of commercial maps.
